Smritivan in Bhuj is widely recognized as one of the world's largest Miyawaki-style afforestation and memorial landscape projects. Built on the historic Bhujiyo Dungar hills, the project combines ecological restoration, memorial architecture, water conservation, and native biodiversity development.
Jal Agritech executed India's second-largest terrace gardening project at the site — covering landscaping, automated irrigation, and Miyawaki forest plantation — in 2022, and continues to provide ongoing maintenance service.

The project is notable because Miyawaki plantations are usually implemented on small urban plots, whereas Smritivan demonstrates how dense native afforestation principles can be adapted to a massive landscape-scale ecological restoration effort in semi-arid terrain.
India's second-largest terrace garden, dense native Miyawaki forest plantation, automated irrigation system design and installation, large-scale rainwater harvesting and watershed management, and restoration of biodiversity with indigenous species adapted to Kutch's arid climate.
Completed in 2022 — a self-sustaining terrace garden and forest landscape at one of Gujarat's most iconic memorial destinations, with Jal Agritech continuing to provide maintenance service.
Landscaping, irrigation, fountains, vertical gardens and nursery work from across our projects.
